Fitted exhaust wrap to my s2 today. A couple of thoughts:-

1) It is a **** of a job.
2) Dont do it on the hottest day of the year
3) Make sure you have someone available to clean the oil off your back from underneath the bonnet afterwards.
4) Doesn't look very nice when it's done. Don't do it if you care about what your engine bay looks like ( not bothered personally)
5) Strands of the stuff float about and stick to your skin (very itchy)

Ended up about 2ft short to do the lot, so will have to order some more ( reckon it therefore takes about 14m to do a V6, assuming I have done it right!)

Took it out for a run afterwards. I was pleased I read the threads about it before hand or I would have been worried about the smell and amount of smoke.

The fan didn't seem to come on so much in traffic so hopefully it has had the desired effect. Sounds a little quieter too ( but not too much).

Whilst I'm on, thanks to everyone who posts on the S2. As someone who doesn't know one end of a spanner from the other, I am learning every time I come onto the site. Might even try to put some of it into practise ( in the interst of saving money!)
