Getting round to sorting the damage someone did to my car, its a standard bumper swipe when someone was parking and it as a few scratches and spider cracks.
Went to the lotus bodyshop place in nailsea, quoted £700 but seemed to know what they were doing etc and said i could get it cheaper but they may just patch the area rather than respray whole clam.
Went to Lotus dealer in Bristol, they posted a quote of £400 so didnt get a chance to ask how/what they would be doing... but dont see why proper dealer is half the price??
Anyone know a good place?
Thanks
p.s. 400 will prob be pay myself job, 700 is insurance so obv. would be better if i can get a good job near the 400 mark.

Bristol Lotus bodyshop is Graydon Motors.

They did my new front clam and did a great job but not the quickest.

I think you'll find Graydon Motors are Williams Automobiles approved bodyshop, as thats where they sent my Elan when the previous owner organised a total repaint....just shy of £2500 ouch!!!!

I know several people who have used Webbs in Bristol and they come highly recommended.

Talk to Matt Peel at www.peelsmotorkraft.co.uk . They have sorted me out several times and are easily the most competitive bodyshop you will find.

I've used Gradons twice now, and been very happy with the results. There's a place off redland road quite near the Shakespeare pub - I don't know what it's called but has been recommended to me by several sources as a good place for fibreglass work.

Stoker.
