Sorry Team,

I did a very stupid thing !

I had the stereo level set much too loudly when taking the Airbox Bracket off recently.

My hamfistedness resulted in me dropping the tiny, lightweight spacer, which was located under the Allen Bolt that retains the CamCover.

It disappeared into the Exhaust Manifold Twilight Zone and has not been seen since.

Any idea where I can source some of these from ?
(He says, anticipating doing it again....)

Ta !

Hi Paul,

You'll find all sizes here . . .

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALUMINIUM-STAND-OFF-SPA...

I can't remember the exact size, but if you still have one - you should be able to match it.

Gordon

They are indeed Clive.

As a self-declared Numpty, I was just trying to save you from the embarrassment (and cost) of my mistake.
(Which has just about been my entire Cerbera philosophy laugh)

Did you have all your spacers in place or was the leak for another reason ? scratchchin

I did exactly the same thing a couple of weeks ago and then spend 20 minutes trying to retrieve it with a magnet d'oh! Beautiful new powdercoat on the camcovers now though.

Now that is quite surprising Matt, coz mine are alloy and therefore unpick-upable with a magnet yikes
(Pic of new Cam Covers required, plz thumbup)

However, the Big Cerbera Owner in the Sky obviously had pity on me and, after the quickest jacking-up procedure I've ever performed, there was the 4 x 14mm beauty sitting on the Carpet. rofl

The Verve's Lucky Man, or what ??

Purple silicone? Induction pipes?
I thought these were unobtanium - would be very happy to hear if they were still available - thanks.

Hi Imran wavey
(Such a great feeling to know that you've actually talked to someone that you're typing to)

Have you tied Joolz for the Short-Induction Kit ? He supplied mine and could probably supply you with an upgrade ECU Chip as well thumbup

Hi Anthony wavey

Yup yes, carpeted Garage with 2 Beer fridges and stereo system.

When I did my first piece of work on my own car, I changed a Clutch, by the roadside, on a council estate, next to a Bus Stop.
I vowed that I would improve the situation...

If I'm gonna spend 33 months on a service, I'm gonna be comfortable.
and 'er is VERY well trained coz she lets me stay down there for hours on end (Beats listening to me droan-on about her (BlackBeauty© that is)

Hi Imran,

PartsforTVRs AKA Racing Green were happy to take a lot of money and quote 4-6 weeks for the induction pipes to be made by the original manufacturer. They should arrive in the next couple of weeks. I'll report back when they appear!

Not attempted it yet. I have to build myself up to trying something like this for the first time. Have been researching best ways to get a good seal; apply sealant, wait 5 mins, position cam cover, put bolts in finger tight, wait another 20 mins, then tighten. I think that should work!

yes That is me down to the ground thumbup

What I've noticed though, over the Years, is that the amount of planning or fear I go through bears no resemblance to the ease and success (or otherwise) of the task in hand.

I have acquired a spacer plate to go between the Starter Motor and the Bellhousing and I've been looking at how the hell I'm gonna undo the retaining Bolts and then replace them.
Think it's gonna require quite a bit of 'Dutch' drink

Best o' thumbup with yours.
