I’m in need of some jack stands for my car but unable to find what I’m looking for - or at least ones for sale in the UK. All the jack stands I can find online have curved supports, which is no good for the standard 911/Boxster jacking point. I need jack stands which have a flat support which will enable me to use Porsche jack ‘hockey puck’ type rubber supports.

This is the only version I’ve found online but they have to be shipped from the States and therefore cost rather more than I hoped. Have any of you found something similar closer to home?

They were expensive last time i looked but probs the best you can buy.
May get a discount on purchase/postage for bulk buy??

I have a set of those but the rubber pads tend not to sit properly. I’m after jack stands that have a flat head so the rubber pads are completed supported and the weight distributed evenly.

Yes, I’ve seen those and another type, also made in the US. It’s annoying something similar isn’t made in the UK. It would solve all the problems.

The rubber pucks I bought have parallel chamfered edges so fit nicely in the top of my jack stands.

I bought some of these recently:

It still doesn’t solve my problem but I’ll try to build up the uneven top of my stands with rubber. Can you post a link or photo of yours?

On another question, what are your thoughts on leaving the car on a single jack stand over night or possibly for a couple of days? Could any potential damage occur to the chassis as the weight distribution would be rather uneven?

I doubt it, but on a longer task I always support the car evenly on both sides, for safely as much as chassis-support - if it's even then it can't slide off sideways due to some unlikely but catastrophic event.

Thanks all for your replies. I just wish someone made these in the UK:

They cost a fortune to have them imported from the US.
