Do I switch my E46 for a E61 touring

Hi all, have a E46 330D M Sport which I do love and have spent loads on it recently like servicing, cooling and suspension work to keep it top tip as it’s only on 64K.

But has anyone gone from one to a E61 530/5d LCI as the comfort and the power of one remapped does tempt me with a bit more refinement!

Question for me would be; what will the E61 give you that the E46 doesn't currently and is it worth that extra outlay?

Another thing is that you'd potentially have to do a lot of similar work on the E61 to bring it top the standard you've got your E46 too and then there's the potential issues with the E61 that they can and do throw up; such as the electrical niggles they can have, just as an example...

Love the simplicity and look of the E46 but for a little more money I think the E61 would be much nicer to live with and waft in especially 350+bhp.
Like any other car you take the risk of it needing things, whether it be loads or little.

Not quite the same, but I went from a E46 330CI to a E60 550.

The five series is just a far better car imo. Rides better, feels a lot more modern, I have zero regrets.
