New 'hard core' Vantage...

This months Vantage magazine has a new F1 edition a few pages in. Same thing?
I posted the same thing last week in a couple of threads on here that were running regarding the AM F1 Car and the F1 Safety Cars, but no one really seemed that bothered! I do remember someone mentioning that the latest issue of Vantage magazine had been delayed due to an embargo....surely it wasn’t this was it? Strange that they would publish something two weeks before an “official” reveal though. Although, after I read the article in the magazine, I couldn’t find anything on line or on the AM website. So maybe that is the answer! It did look rather good though, imho the best iteration of the current car to date. Best Regards

If the model to be announced, does have an identical exterior appearance to the safety car, I am sure they will sell a good number.
Buyers love an association.
Perhaps the roof lights need to be removable.

On of my daily cars, was the model used as the F1 safety car during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
Over those two years, that safety car was on track 12 times and covered 30 miles.
Many years later though, it did not make the road versions any more valuable.
I suspect the amount of power increase will be the key thing to look for on this model.
You can already get the AMR Aerokit fitted to any new Vantage, although its a rather fruity £20k + fitting.

If they offered the new vantage with the v12, DBX interior, roadster and a manual, I'd be on the list...
Yeah that would be nice - but they need a new Knob for manual. The knob is, well it's BIGGGGGG!
No mention however of a manual, so I'm assuming it could be a slushmatic only?

Yes Adam, I think you’re right there. I am fairly sure the article in Vantage (if indeed we are talking about the right car!) stated auto only, but it did say it would be available as a coupé or Roadster. Probably not a good idea to post a picture from the magazine here I think, but it did look very close to the F1 Safety Car. No lights on the roof though!

Shame. The whole idea of the 'hunter' grill was that it was meant to be aggressive and sporty, exactly what you want to see going full tilt 'round an F1 track. The 'vane' grill is intended to appeal to the traditional buyer. Trying to spice up the vane grill version seems completely at odds to me. AM should have used the hunter grill for the safety car. eh.. AM need to bring their A game to the F1 events with the safety cars. They absolutely do not need 45-50% wondering what part was left off the front of the new Vantage, as people would with the hunter grill.
With the vaned grill, at least everyone will think it looks great.
I agree, the hunter grill looks cheap, especially when you have a strong light source shining on it and you can see what is behind it. It reminds me of some sort of cheap aluminium fencing. The vane grill is a vast improvement. With the vaned grill, at least everyone will think it looks great.
