Sub frame corrosion
Discussion
Hello. Looking at a car for 2k and looking at its previous MOT history, in December 2020 it failed MOT for:
'Offside front subframe corroded to the extent that the rigidity of the assembly is significantly reduced bottom arm mounting area.'
It has since passed but I'm not sure if I should stay clear due to the car having corrosion issues. I understand older cheaper cars may have these issues but first time I have seen the above.
Many thanks

really need to view the car
if its been replaced with a good one or new one and no other serious rust under the car , go ahead and buy it
dont accpet heavily undersealed or patched up subframe , and if thats gone rusty make sure the rest of the car is as clean as it should be for 2008
dont take the sellers word that its repaired properly...look at it
