Sony TV Number/Naming Conventions

So we're looking for a new TV. Our other TVs are Sony and we've always been happy. Control4 installer also recommends we get Sony.

But I'm looking at the Sony website and I do not understand what the difference is between the TVs and the numbering. Does anybody have a clue?

Have you had a Sony Smart TV before? I find the Android TV operation rather average so you might want to compare it with LG, Samsung & Panasonic.
