Is the LG Nano 55 inch for 899 considered a good buy at the moment.
I must admit the bit on the gadget show impressed me, but I appreciate that shouldnt just be taken at face value.
Pros and cons from any owners?
I have a rock solid LG 47LW540U HD TV but getting tempted by even just the 4K upscaling these new TVs seem capable of.

I think you can get one of their entry level 55in OLEDs for 1050 - got to be worth the extra?

I've got an LG65SK85, which is a 65" super UHD with nano cell display and full array dimming etc.

Really happy overall, but it has obvious blooming issues. It doesn't really bother me but it's certainly something I'll consider when buying the next one.

Perhaps OLED would be my choice next.

Is blooming something the 2021 LG Nanos suffer from?
I'd be looking at the 916NA model https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/tv-and-home-entertai...

It will bloom,

Most TVs do to some degree unless they are OLED. Its a personal preference thing as to how much it will bother you so may be worth trying to see one in real life.
