The time has come to retire my battered Boss wallet.

I’ll keep it’s replacement a long time - I looked at Mont Blanc - back when shops were a thing and though nice, not 200 quid plus nice.

Anyone got any recommendations for a quality wallet?

One made in brexit Britain even better.

Ps. I know money is so 1997, but I still use it, and mods if this should be somewhere else please correct me.

These look nice, although I must confess I'm more likely to get a £10 one from the market...

The last proper wallet I had was a Paul Smith one which was very nice quality and lasted a long time, I think I still have it somewhere but it is very grubby now.

I moved on to a Ridge wallet (other cheaper versions are available) which is more of a card holder really last year and I haven't looked back. I realised how much rubbish I was carrying around with me.

I mainly use my phone for payments now, there seems to be no limit on contact less Google Pay so my wallet rarely leaves my pocket now.

I was after a Belroy but ended up seeing this Ted Baker one in a department store while out shopping. It fit the bill for size, looks and slots etc so bought it. Had it a few years now and it's showing signs of wear but the leather feels nice and still looks decent.

Mrs J bought me an Ettinger wallet 5 or 6 years ago. Still looks brand new but I do try and look after it, no sitting down with it stuffed in my back pocket sort of thing.

Wallet? That'll be your smartphone these days.

I have a lovely wallet but I rarely take it anywhere as my phone contains all the payment I need and I can add cards to Apps. Shame but that's progress...

My eldest bought me an Aspinal wallet for either Christmas or birthday, I would say 6 or 7 years ago, it still looks fresh today, no wear at all.

It's this one, however mine has a red suede inside:

What do you need a wallet for?

Smartphone and a linked smartwatch and you're done.

I haven't carried a wallet for 2 years and it's brilliant.

I’ve an MB and it is nice, although it went back to the shop as the original fell apart. Got it a bit cheaper in T5. Also have another MB slimline card holder thing for nights out. Not been used in a while!

I have a wallet and I don’t really know why I do. Two cards in a smart phone (plus Apple Pay) drivers licence and perhaps some notes behind the phone

I do gets lots of receipts from work for expenses so would need to do something with those

Perhaps it’s the fear of losing my phone which would also mean all cards / Id

My wife bought me a wallet from The Bridge about 5 years ago. Bedding in nicely and still smells of leather.

B&Q? If so yes they have but only since Covid, I always brought it up with the cashier pre Covid, they just rolled their eyes and said "it's coming but they've been saying that for years!"

I’ve just started using an App called ‘smart receipts’. I have to scan/ pdf all my receipts at the end of the month (so no good if accounts need physical paper). Get the receipt, photo, can put comments in and also store it in a specific file if needed, eg fuel or food etc.
You can then print off the pdf including the photos at the end of the month or whatever date period you want.

Bin the receipts straight away then? My accounts dept haven’t thrown a wobbly about the layout etc yet. But they are a bit st and not very quick.

I like to use this, so handy when popping for milk, don't have to carry bulky leather wallets ruining the look of your breast pocket, obviously 18ct for the day time but the old diamond encrusted one does get some pocket time in the evening.
