991 GTS wheel centre locks
Discussion
Just about to purchase a 991.2 GTS with the centre lock wheels and have noticed that they don't have any writing (loosen/tighten?) on them.
The main dealer stated that the writing was deleted as part of a 'Stealth' package and he's confirmed this with Porsche in Stuttgart.
Has anyone come across this before?

That sounds odd indeed. I’d ask to see the communication from AG confirming that. Is it possible the prior owner replaced the parts with non OEM ? The loosen tighten is not cosmetic it’s really a safety guide given the force you have to exert to the lock. What is also odd is to get a response from AG on such a matter.
I would be suspicious. i have just checked the CL on my GTS and there is clear indications on them showing the torque and Stop location - would be strange if that’s not there. running my finger over also indicated that the writing is engraved and mine show zero signs of fading / degradation.
I am thinking of selling my 67 plate guards red GTS still with 17 months porsche extended warranty if you are interested .

Even without photos, I bet the nuts have been repainted because of fading. The main dealer stated that the writing was deleted as part of a 'Stealth' package and he's confirmed this with Porsche in Stuttgart.

Without a doubt I would ask/insist on 4 new nuts. Thats about £1000 retail
