I keep the interior light off at all times so could the switch still affect it if the light is off?
Whereabouts is the bonnet switch please? I did take the bonnet off a few weeks back to try and find the horn so that sounds most likely!
Yes, with the light off a switch fault will give the bleep of deathWhereabouts is the bonnet switch please? I did take the bonnet off a few weeks back to try and find the horn so that sounds most likely!

The car will only beep if you have a door/boot/ Bonnet sensor activated when you switch the alarm on
It is very often the bonnet switch
It is easily adjusted and is by the main bonnet catch.

I've spoken to Dave Fairclough (HF Solutions) regarding this subject whilst having some alarm/immobiliser issues. (These later turned out to be ignition switch related....bad contact or wiring to white/red tracer wire connected to switch).
His comments regarding beeps were along the lines of - "Ah, OK, that's usually caused by the courtesy light delay relay 'hanging' thereby causing the Meta to think a door is open....the delay relay can be random in it's timing to switch 'OFF'.
Nothing to worry about.
