Had a side impact on a high kurb and damaged the wheel & disc.

I've replaced: lower ball joint, wheel, wheel hub, bearing and the disc.
The garage now says that the caliper needs replacing as its sticking, but i opened it up and the disc is spinning with a warp effect, and its not the caliper.

the disc itself it NOT warped.. looks like the bearing or the hub is damaged... could they have fitted it wrong for the problem to still be there? The parts were recon parts i think

what could cause the disc not to spin straight but with a wobble? as its eating into my summer and defo my pockets also!

thanks

bent or work drive flange...

bearings do not cause this.

Hub-Flange is the bit that the wheel bolts too with the wheel studs fixed in it.

it is pressed into the bearing and held in place by (at the front) a M16 bolt and shaped spacer (on the inside).

what happends with these is that they are relatively soft and if they are not held securly in the bearing, they start to move about, wearing a taper onto the end of them, this then means the wheel is no longer running true (and the brake disk with it).

if this is the case, then you are going toneed a new bearing and flange as both will be knackered.

I suggest you have some words with whoever fitted it.

It's in the parts book as a wheel-hub - A111C6001F

they are the same for both the front and rear.
