I am already committed and looking forward to my 1200 Speed Triple, due mid-April. 178 bhp, top notch kit and looks only a Triumph could have (great in my eyes) will do me.
But i was looking at the sheer number of street fighters the past decade has produced. Which are the best, in your view?
I'm thinking 1290 Super Duke, with that rabid 175 bhp 1301cc v twin. The Ducati Streetfighter with it's amazing 200+ bhp V4 engine. BMW have the potent and rev crazy S1000R. MV have their absolutely mad 200+ bhp Brutale. Hey going back a bit the Suzuki B King with it's 1340cc of pure grunt and 190 bhp. There's more, lots more. EG, Supercharged Kawasaki H2 with 200 bhp in the regular version.
But which are your top 3? Mine simply has to be the Ducati, the MV and the Triumph.

Tuono 1100 wins most of the comparison tests.

While I’ve not ridden one I think the KTM is too much, S1000 a bit bland, H2 too ugly, B-King likewise but also too big.

I had a street triple 765rs and am sworn off triumph as a result.

Don’t like cam belts on Ducati.

I’d have the Tuono if I was in the market for a ridiculously powerful naked.

I’ve always fancied an EBR 1190sx, but missed out on one that came up in the UK

Triumph Rocket 3 ?

Ducati Diavel?

The "best" depends on which aspect you value an upright naked bike for as they all have slightly different aspects to them. Is your priority looks, comfort, outright performance figures or usable on road performance.

Tuono and MV Brutale 1000 both have more sporty riding positions compared to others which are really upright.

Tuono is only in a "naked" class because thats what Aprilias marketing dept calls it, its got more fairings than some sportsbikes and many people dont want fairings on a "naked" bike smile

Morini Corsaro 1200.

Okay so by 2021 standards no longer ‘silly power’ but when the historic brand restarted in 2005 after over 10 years of not making bikes, they started with an absolute stonker.

Morini’s own 140hp v twin must have worried a few people at the ‘other’ factory in Bologna back then.

I’ve ridden mine across Europe 2 up, commuted and thrashed it down back lanes. It always delivers in spades and brings a smile to my face. And almost 15 years on I think it still looks great.

For me I think the most desirable are the 1290SD, Tuono V4, and I think maybe the new Speed Triple

Nice Morini smile

My top 3 for what I might wish to own could be:

Bimota Impeto with supercharged Ducati 1198 power , although they are rare to find, not sure how many were made , maybe single digits

or maybe a MV Brutale 1000 - although I prefer the styling of the "Rush" version minus the rear wheel disc

Back to the real world, a Triumph Speed Triple could be nice in a different colour scheme to black/silver

In the meanwhile I will continue to enjoy my MV Brutale 1090RR smile

I'm surprised it got to 7 post's before the correct answer was given yes

Not seen the K1300R mentioned.

Good looking, in an ugly sort of way. Considering one as a commuter at the moment.

No mention of the MT10 yet?

It’s got it’s flaws for sure but I find it the most exciting to ride of the ones I’ve ridden.

I do really like the SDR too, though I’ve only ridden the second gen bikes.
I do really like the tuono but can’t help but wonder if it’s a little too focussed, to be as much fun.

I think all those bikes are definitely up there. I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Tuono 1100. It's not bonkers quick but does everything pretty damn good

The fact it can go on track like here and still do ok against track bikes or sports bikes but then comfortably go touring, work or just a Sunday long 150+ mile blast after is pretty sweet in my opinion https://youtu.be/2PukO7d7pEM

I do think the SF is bonkers fast and the SDR is a Frankenstein engine with a frame and electronics desperately trying to tame. The torque if I recall is something mad like 140nm!

Bonus points for the comedy exhaust hehe it looks like a woman that has had arse implants, interesting bike though.

Anything over 150bhp is really just bragging rights, I'd quite like a new Speed Triple but I'd be happy with an MT10 and 5k in the bank.

What is parts availability like?

I assumed that used the Suzuki TL motor like the Cagiva Raptor did.

90lb/ft of torque sounds fun.

I have a Tuono so somewhat biased. Having said that, had the new Speed Triple been available last year when I bought the Tuono I would have had a test ride.

The super nakeds do the same thing in slightly different ways. Depends what you like as to which will be your favourite. And how much you are prepared to pay.

I personally don’t think the MT10 is in any way slow but in the silly power stakes it is down quite a bit on the competition.
