So David Cameron has been texting Rishi to lob some money to a company he's an advisor and share holder in. Greensill Capital wanted money from the government's covid scheme to be able to carry on lending to Liberty Steel amongst others.

I've only skimmed the article this morning before going to bed after nights, but it just has that little whiff of "bending the rules for a mate".

As there' many, many billions floating around with seemingly little oversight I wonder how much of this is going to be the next scandal. Or is it going to be swept under the carpet?

SD.

As far as the stench around Greensill goes that's the least of it.

Honest Dave being involved isn't a shock either.

Nice smile

I think Rishi (sensibly) fobbed him off to a civil servant, who explained they weren't eligible.

Call me Dave has some explaining to do though about his undisclosed lobbying activities. He should be familiar with the system to make lobbying more transparent, as he implemented is as prime minister.

Though the code being voluntary speaks for itself...like all the other industries that are left to police themselves...pointless

CMD is starting to slide down the Tony B Liar slippery staircase of rather questionable ethics, particularly when it comes to money.

When the power has gone I suspect the next best thing is being able to count your gold.

All political careers end in failure.

Time to move on Dave.

CMD was a notorious st before he got elected to Parliament - and has been in one form or another his whole life - so hardly a surprise he still is one.
