Just thought I’d share with you guys a few pics of a bike I’ve been building over the last couple years.
Yamaha TRX850 modified into a cafe race/custom racer. Loved building it. It’s running Yamaha R1 running gear. Engine has been blue printed. All the work is custom.

That's great. It must have been a lot of work.

I had a Mk2 TDM850 with the same 270° crank engine and really liked it. I always fancied trying a TRX.

(I tinkered with my bike, but much less than you. I removed the fairing and re-located the wiring, fitted a set of round lights modified the exhaust to release the "v-twin" sound, and improved the suspension front and rear. It was great fun and rode & handled really well on bumpy, twisty, mountain back roads.)

That's awesome, what a great result. Looks like something you'd find in Cyberpunk 2077.

As a TRX owner, 97 blue green all stock except for the Harris race bellypan, there;s some of that i love, and theres some bits i wince at!! ! But kudos on the effort and skills involved!!

It does look different that;s for sure. Now, if you fancy sticking an R1 swinger, forks and brakes into a stock TRX chassis, I'd buy it!
They're a great fun bike to ride, you can really rag em about without doing silly things!

Have you gone with a thumb brake for the rear? I can't see a foot brake for it.
