Bought a new battery on eBay which turns out to be faulty and now doesn’t charge .
Also it’s somehow broken one of the cheaper battery chargers from Halfords
The battery was on charge for 7 hrs and only reads 1v and tried several different electrical testing probes but just seems like the thing is faulty but then it worked initially
Anyone else had similar problems?

Many battery chargers won't switch in and charge a very low battery, they need fooling into thinking that they are connected to a good battery
The above is achieved by momentarily connecting a good battery in parallel with the very low battery and then connecting the charger to the low battery before disconnecting the good battery
Be careful with any sparks and guard eyes/face
