I've just stumbled upon a 12 year stored 924s the owners husband stopped driving due to illness and has sat in the garage since 2009. Its in a sad state covered in pigeon poo and as you can imagine is looking very sad. She was made in 1987 and has done 80k but does come with a spare engine. I was basically wondering what this would be worth?

I've been looking online to see how much they go for and the bottom end of the market you're looking at 6k for on the road.

My guess that it would be worth less than it would cost in parts and labour to get it roadworthy.

At that age it might be the more desirable 924S or 924 le mans. But sadly, as above it might cost more to restore then its final value.

But does that have to matter? Could it be a project for you/ someone else??

Sadly 12 years ago they were worth peanuts- some owners used them as train station cars, keeping their other cars for high days and holidays, so this might not have had the servicing it needed before being atored.

Good luck, anyhow. Can we see some photos??

The OP states it is the 924s, so not the VW engine. Still, prices are v low

Nonetheless, my old 924S was the most favourite car I’ve ever owned.

A good one can be up to 10k, and they are rising.
