M series wiring

I know, the wires are all black and the coloured things drop off. However suppose I have the wiring diagram from the Manual in front of me but want to find a "physical wiring diagram" (i.e where the wires actualy go to and come from) ? Anybody ever done that ? Reason being I have a dicky rear left indicator on my 3000S, the front ones work fine and if I put power into the loom in the boot area the indicators work, and using a meter there's definitely juice coming through but there's probably a dodgy connector somewhere with lots of corrosion causing a high resistance (you can tell I studied Physics at skool). Basically where the heck do the rear indicator wires join into the loom ? (before I start pulling out yards of wire or run a "redundant" wire off the front indicators, I hate doing that).

Well this is pretty sad, having to solve my own problems. All sorted now, proceed as follows: call David Gerald's, ask Doug nicely and he'll get some new flasher units in the post.......thanks Doug !
