Hi Guys..... busy preparing for the body lift. Close to getting the body lifted. How do I get this unit out?

You leave it in place and undo the pipes from the distribution block in the wing.

The master can stay in place.

I want to get it out and renew it. Also...my booster seems rather rotted. So, yes....I would like to get it out. Do I have to remove the pedalbox?

There are 4 bolts on top of the inner wing. 3 of them are visible, the 4th one is under the wiper box assembly - so you need to take that off to access the 4th bolt. Then there are another 2 bolts that go through the wheel arch. You need to take the wheel off and scrape the mountains of sealing compound off the heads of the bolts. They are above the steering universal joint and slightly left and right, if that makes sense.

If you don't want to drain the clutch fluid, you need to unbolt the clutch master cylinder from the pedal box and leave that suspended in place. It's really fiddly, but can be done. You can leave the clutch pipe connected through the bulkhead. It's the connector nearest the tunnel. Disconnect the other 3 pipes from the bulkhead. One is for the rear brakes, the other 2 are for font left and front right.

You need to disconnect the vacuum pipe from the back of the brake servo. I seem to remember that you can access this via the clutch master cylinder cover on the inner wing. Also I think the throttle cable goes through the pedal box - so you need to disconnect that and thread it through the hole before you can get the pedal box out.

When you've done all that there should be nothing left holding it in. It's still a bh to wrestle out though :-)

Good luck.

Oke....clutchmaster is already out. All the fluids are drained. So, it's finding the bolts and pull it out.

It's out. Dashboard is out. I had a mouse who crawled through my shift gaiter..... Luckily it did not bite through the wiring......

Congrats.

Before I refurbed my car I couldn't work out why I kept finding bird seed everywhere. Then I found that mice had been nesting in the trim above the windscreen ??

Good photos, interesting to see how the pedal assembly looks.

As for mice, I have three armed mouse traps surrounding the car in the garage at all times.
