Mercedes A45 AMG or Alfa Giulia QV

Within the next few months I’ll be replacing my current car and budget will allow for these two options (and many more, obviously but these are my preferences)
I realise the Alfa is the bigger car but the Merc should be big enough. My car tends to do family duties and over the last few years I’ve had a Golf R estate and currently a Focus ST estate. Odd trip to Ireland aside I’m sure we can manage without the estate boot though.
Interested to hear from owners of either of the above cars as to how they are to live with.
Pre-Covid I did about 15-20k per year, I worked from home but had regular customer trips and a visit to the office every other week (a 370 mile round trip)
Mileage considerably lower now and I can’t see it going back up to where it was so economy wasn’t an issue for me before and certainly won’t be again.
Longer trips would be mostly dual carriageway and motorway but I’ll sometimes take the winding way back. Day to day it’s school run and trips out on A and B roads. I like something that’s fun when I want it to be and can be relaxing on the motorway I’d needed.
We’ve two small children and will occasionally take bikes a shortish distance - a bike rack will do that job rather than having to squeeze them in the boot. But we don’t typically have loads of paraphernalia to transport when we go out. No pushchairs etc.
Occasionally I’ve considered a 7 seater (obviously neither of these cars is that) simply so that we can get a third adult in the car instead of taking two cars when we visit my mum or she visits us. But having managed without so far I’m sure we can continue.

2.0T 4 cylinder or Ferrari derived 2.9TT V6 ... when everything is downsizing? Hmmmm.
Had the QV, amazing car, and will probably give the same mpg as the Merc on long runs. Once saw 32mpg from it briefly!
Incredibly capable and balanced car; even if I'd not owned one I'd still take it 10 times out of 10 against a 4 cylinder Merc hatchback.
