Games firm pays speeding fines
The UK Government has branded a game company's offer to pay speeding fines as irresponsible.
Acclaim Entertainment has offered to pay the fines of any driver caught speeding on 11 October to mark the launch of a new PlayStation 2 driving game, Burnout 2: Point of Impact.
The government however is not impressed by the stunt claiming the firm is simply encouraging dangerous driving.
It is not the first time Acclaim has gone in for marketing stunts. In August it persuaded five people to change their name by deed poll to Turok, the hero of one of their games.
