Hi all,

I'm looking to order some new tarp products for my business and have been in conversations with this company: https://yzdandelion.en.alibaba.com/company_profile...

They've been very responsive, helpful, and sent samples promptly. The samples are great and we're satisfied from a quality perspective.

However, during my due diligence, I've come across this business with the same name and an older Alibaba profile: https://dandelionoutdoor.en.alibaba.com/company_pr...

This, of course, appears fishy...

I have contacted the company with the older profile and asked if there is any affiliation.

In the meantime, just wondering if anyone has come across this before? It doesn't feel right, but wondering if there's a legit reason why they may have two profiles?

Also, any general tips for due diligence for new suppliers given it's extremely difficult to get over to China at the moment?

Thanks!

Owned at the end of the day by the same factory

Also be aware of trading companies. If you need to speak to someone in the factory regarding design or something things can fall apart. Some are pretty good if you want off the shelf though.

Use a pre ship agency to check the product against surf before shipping.

I’d start with googling or see if any importy types comment. I’ve got some guys in the club that bring in a lot, tell me where the supplier is and I’ll post on the club forum.
