Bitcoin gift for teenager.

Morning more knowledgeable folk than me.. I'm looking to buy £250 worth of bitcoin for our sons birthday next month. How do I go about doing this without being scammed/wasting my money? I've looked online but cant find a difinitive answer. There are loads of apps but which one is the correct one to get? Many thanks for your answers.

I use Kraken to purchase my cryptocurrency. I store it in a mobile app called exodus.

Create a bitcoin paper wallet (offline)

Take the public address and then pay into it using https://bittylicious.com/


They can then leave it alone, or sweep the funds into whatever wallet they like, or just add the public address to a wallet to keep an eye on the value of their btc, but not have access to it.
