Morning all,

Just a quickie.... i had a problem with the door locks and windows yesterday and wondered if anyone else did??

Firstly, the door buttons stopped working. I could not get in and out of the car, which was quite funny when i pulled up at the local shell garage to fill up and sat there for 15mins trapped in the car. Then they worked! After driving home they didnt work again! :censored:

Also when they stopped working so too did the windows. When i pressed the immobiliser the windows would not shut! That said, the windows would operate correctly from the electric windows buttons inside the car!

A friend of mine, who modifies cars for a living said he gets this problem when they de-lock a car from heat. At first i did not believe it BUT.... when it cooled down last night the car was working fine again!

Anyone else have any problems yesterday??

Yes mate, know this but doesnt really help as i have to leave the window open so i can my arm in the pull it when outside!

Also, it was OK this morning when i got in and drove to work, but when i got there it had stopped again, so my car is open outside the office! (not good!)

I had the same problem last Friday - window buttons stopped working and doors wouldn't lock/unlock. Luckily I was already in the car when it happened..
Upon calling my mechanic, he told me to unplug the little control (black box) unit right next to the CD changer in the boot, leave it for 10mins and then plug back in. This apparently resets the controls for windows/doors and worked for me.

Have done this and made sure that the connectors are firmly in place.

Still no joy! Now believe that the doors do not lock when the alarm is activated!

New control box me thinks!!!!
