V8 Vantage (2008) air con condensor part number?

EDIT - title error. Issue is with the compressor: AM part number: 6G33-19D629-AB

I have a leak from the underside of the air con unit. Yellow coloured dye. The leak is small and currently TBC as an air con issue by my specialist (spotted while the car is in for alignment)

Is there a Ford/Volvo part number for these? If I do need a new condensor i suspect a non AM branded one might be lighter on my wallet . . .
I also fear a new dryer will be needed (which i assume is a separate part number)

Good luck with your hunt for a cheaper alternative, the few I could find were more expensive! Ended up getting it from AM with 10% discount for AMOC membership. You might be able to find someone to recore your old one, but depends where you are in the country.

Can I ask how much you paid? The ones I have found so far (if they are indeed the same spec as the AM original Ford/Jag/AM part) seem to be around £400. [Listed as being made by Denso]

Looks like I paid £347.83 in total in February last year including O rings. Not sure whether the price has changed since of course.

Thanks for that. Prices seem similar now (albeit plus 20% VAT lol) if imported....

The price I paid did include VAT, so if the AM price is still around that amount, I would go for that one over another brand. In my hunt around for a cheaper alternative, I was warned off buying a cheapy off the internet as the failure rate on some was really high. I don't recall finding a Denso one that would fit, perhaps they are now making one. One of the places I approached here in the South West said they could get me one from the manufacturer that supplied AM. The only negative was that it was more expensive than me getting it direct from AM!

That was a good price, when I had one back in 2012 it was nearer £650

My Aston Indy has quoted £647 for the compressor (plus VAT) and about £200 for fitting. Including a regas its a shade over a grand.

The Denso part that some reputable retailers have on offer is around £400 so a decent saving.

Not the end of the world if i go with the 'official' part - but as it isn't AM who make those, if I'm able to buy a genuine part from Denso i suspect I'll take that route if its do-able with the Indy i use.

13 years and 85,000 miles isn't too bad for OEM compressor life i guess!

Fwiw, when I rebuilt my AC I found a copy compressor at aliexpress. I bought new orings at scuderia to ensure the right material. And I found a jag drier that had the same piping but had different mounting holes. It was much cheaper so I just inert gas welded the AM bracket to my new one.

£350 and upwards for what appears to be the identical part.

Is there a thread somewhere with a load of AM parts on it and the Ford/Jag etc equivalents? I'm assuming what I'm seeing on Autodoc isnt unique and that a lot of parts for the car don't need to be AM OEM. (I've used Nissen and Denso previously on my 911 for replacement rads and other parts. These two are suppliers for a lot of OEM parts)
