Password truncation?

Has something happened that could have truncated PH passwords? I'm normally logged in with a cookie, but this morning I couldn't get logged in and had to have mine e-mailed to me. It seems the password is one character less than it should be.

IIRC Ted has reduced the password length. It now only uses 8 characters, if your old password was longer than 8, no problems it will only use 8.

Strange. Mine was indeed 9 characters and it was taking all of them. I had to use only 8 characters to get in. It only seems to have happened over the weekend. No worries as I'm in now

Actually it's the other way around.

It used to be 8 characters but if you entered more when logging in, it would ignore anything beyond 8.

It is now a 'real' sixteen characters.
