anyone know whether the caymen 981 ducktail will fit the boxster 981?

I see that video on the red boxster? i think he has the boxster ducktail. Im not sure if there is only one ducktail and it fits both caymen and boxster 981.

yeah so the caymen and the boxster is the same. I saw someone else asking the same question on another forum and i dont think he had a straight answer, surely they are the same rear end though so why would there be two spyder spoilers.

Hi TDT ,

I,m really interested in this ducktail spoiler for my 2016 Boxster S .

Do you know if this is an OEM spoiler or an aftermarket item ?

Do you know if can be ordered in Speed Yellow or was this something you had to organise separately after purchase ?

Please can you tell me how much the duck tail and the 2 brackets cost ?

Thank you it looks great

OEM as above, glad you like it, it comes primed cost is around £500 ish and painting up to around the £200 mark.

I'm not sure but think the Cayman version may physically fit, it has the same lower bumper and rear lights but I think it has a slightly different shape to it so it may look odd. I think because the angle of the rear is different to the Boxster so is angle of the spoiler. The part numbers are different so probably worth buying the right part and not taking the chance.

Hi Testdrive ,

I think it looks really good , but trying to stop the video to get a really good look is difficult .

Please could you put up some still photos of your car , taken from a distance , so that we can take our own sweet time to drink in the side profile and back view of the car with its new ducktail .

Thank you

Ha ha, best I can do is ask you to pause it towards the end of the video or to look at the Instagram page, it's snowing up here yet again so it's tucked away!

I love it the only thing I'm not certain of is the Porsche lettering, I like the position but it plays on my mind that it's more obvious than before which is not my intention.
