Theiving pikeys...
Discussion
So I finally twigged why my LHS indicator had "fallen" out of the fairing on Saturday morning (took me an hour to remove the fairing so I could get to where the bolts do up).
Yep, my aluminium tax disk holder that was bolted onto the fork has been snapped off.
20 quid, "theft proof" holder, made of 2mm thick metal, just gone.
Gypo camp up the road has since moved on, but reported it to Plod who gave us a crime number. Am expecting a call back tonight, but in between time I am riding without displaying.
ANYONE who tries to defend pikeys is wrong. They are scum. My neighbours also revealed that a window on their house window has cracked, with signs of attempted forcing of the lock.
Need to round 'em up and burn them. The voice of reason has spoken.
Carl.

I'm annoyed I didn't notice it being gone on Saturday - but was so keen to go out for a thrash after putting all the panels back on !
What can they do with a tax disk? surely any refunds must go to my address? what's it all about? - or am I going to start getting gatso pictures of a cloned bike????
eeek!

probably.
You have to look pretty closely at a tax disk to realise it's not for the vehicle its actually on. The yellow peril would only look if they had some other reason, so the pikey git will probably get away with it.
Cha-ching, £100 or so saved, and no one finds out the vehicle doen't belong to them either.

When I get my replacement it isn't going on the bike, it can live in my pocket. Stuff the "failure to display" laws ! - this is absurd. Now it has been officially reported, I will quote the ref number if ever I get stopped / questioned about it.
I would have felt less annoyed if they had unbolted it, but to simply break it off is scummy. And to break my indicator was a bit crap too. Guess I'm lucky it wasn't knocked over or something?

We've got a pikey camp just down the road in a field.
The council is trying to build a sports complex on the site,
I think the solution would be to set up a Max Power Cruise in the neighboring field. Let them play their subwoofers as loud as they like...ALL NIGHT LONG!! EVERY NIGHT!
Or spray the site with soap and clean warm water. That should drive 'em out!
