Clear vs red rear lights, a question

Are they identical apart from the cover?

If I remove the red cover are the LEDs red and amber as in the clears?

I would definitely say they are different.

The difference will be the turn amber light.

The clear lens the LED will emit an amber colour.

With the red lens the LED will emit a different colour in the light spectrum so that when seen through a red lens an amber light is seen., it's really quite clever.

Thanks for the reply. Clear ones are very expensive but I think with an Aston you must cough up money
