Car choice help... another f series???
Discussion
After a string of F series... 335i, 435i, 340i, M3, M140i i am at a crossroads where to go next.
I have looked a S5's sportbacks and whilst most if not all are well spec'd over a BMW they arent really doing it for me. I have also looked at M2's because on a PCP they have great deals at the moment but am worried about the overall ride quality... my M140i was errr bouncy and harsh on the back.
So what i want is a MPPSK 440i Gran Coupe with a list of extra's such as sunroof, HK, lumbar in a great colour combo but waiting for one to pop up is like waiting for paint to dry.
Any other suggestions that are relatively family friendly and are going to be easy to live with e.g. not constantly needing repairs etc.
Cheers

It sounds like you have decided what you want so maybe hold out for one. I would look for the base car (440i GC with the right spec) and then get the MPPSK fitted later. You will widen your search considerably. If you go AUC you could negotiate that into the deal.
The next size up cars is an option. I was looking at a 540i (I would put MPPSK on it) or the 640d GC which is what I went for and love it.

I could go on...
As said. Add the MPPK yourself.

If ride's an issue, wouldn't you need to add adaptive suspension to the list of options. Unless on the 340i you were happy without? I wouldn't have been. Comfort suspension was excellent. Options made that car for me including upgraded brakes. I have looked a S5's sportbacks and whilst most if not all are well spec'd over a BMW they arent really doing it for me. And given your F series collection you sound more like you're in a car park of a BMW dealership than at a crossroads

How about a Mercedes C63 ? Or the 43 if fuel is not so easy to live with. Just for a change.
Thanks all... so i have a budget of £25k i reckon which translates to roughly £450 p/m on loan or if i go PCP i might be able to squeeze in something more expensive.
Totally understand the MPPSK adding it at a later date but its quite an expensive option... Sytner wanted nearly £4k for it a month ago.
So spec would be Sunroof, Lumbar, adaptive sus, M-sport pack (brakes), HK, and anything else.
Light leathers no no no... red or black please
I like the point about c43 and c63 but i dont think these fall into budget,

You'd have to check but Cotswold were doing a fitted offer at £1,700!

OP ask Phil Ennis at Cotswolds BMW. Great guy. https://www.cotswoldgroup.com/bmw/parts-accessorie...
After many E and F series. I went G. I found the G soulless. It’s numb to drive. Refined. Luxury. Suspension is a step up and it almost corners flat with so much reduced body roll. For others that more than makes up for the vague steering. For me it felt too disjointed. I gave up the latest tech to go back to a manual handbrake in a 440i GC. I have no regrets whatsoever. Ask me a few years ago and I’d have praised diesel, how the troves of low down torque make it relaxing to drive... the 440i achieves similar and it just felt like the best of both worlds. You can use it as a cruiser or have fun. It’s 10 mpg down on the 35d engine I had but it’s worth it in my view. Adaptive is good. It gives you a 3 in 1 car. You can run it as an econobox... comfort or sports machine. The practicality of the boot opening is an added bonus.
Some dealerships offer finance on the MPPK. I know my new local (Barons) does.
