Xbox, LG Oled Tv, not going direct to hdmi channel on start
Discussion
Its more of a pain, I have xbox1x and have it setup fine on lg 55 oled, when I power up xbox I would expect it to either power up the tv and show me the xbox home screen, but that doesn't happen it will power up and go to either live tv or my sky box, I then have to press the input button on remote to select the hdmi port that is already configured for the xbox, surely it is not beyond the wit of man that the tv should got to the hdmi port i have configured the xbox to launch on.
I can't be the only one that has noticed this. Is there a way to do this, do i need to download some xbox/lg switcher thing.

HDMI-CEC is what you're looking for, I think. I think it's called Simplink on LG TVs.
Pretty sure you need to have it enabled on both TV and Xbox.
Just checked the settings and that's what i have, on xbox startup the check box for Sat is unchecked, tried with checked and goes to Sat box. When i power up from xbox remote i get brief glimpse of HDMI 3 which is where i have xbox connected but it then jumps to Sat box, will have a look at the sat box settings. Pretty sure you need to have it enabled on both TV and Xbox.
Ok, think got it, on Xbox settings under Device Power Options "When Xbox turns on, send" TV 'On', Cable or Satellite set to 'Nothing'
"When Xbox turns off, send" TV 'Toggle' Cable or Satellite 'Nothing'
Also had to faff with Sky remote and LG remote, I now know there is a Power on STB button on LG remote.
Not sure if its all proper now, but good enough until i get peed off again.
