Was cruising down the M40 Southbound in NSL on late Saturday afternoon - road was fairly quiet - dry, sunny conditions.

Just south of Banbury (I think) I suddenly noticed the blue and flourescent yellow Omega with BiB standing at side aiming his speed camera down the motorway, so would have caught my rear number plate.

Admittedly, I was doing about 85-86mph and stamped on the anchors the moment I saw him. I was somewhere between 75-80mph when he would have zapped me. As he didn't give chase, I can only assume he wasn't bothered with nicking me. Then again, an Audi S6 Avant shot past me at probably 90mph 30 secs before I saw BiB, and again, no chase.

Anyone know if Thames valley Police use handheld gatsos? Am paranoid now that I'll get a NIP in post in about 2 weeks.

They were out on Sunday too. Normally they point them up the road and then give chase to those that pass them at speed.

Probably looking for people doing 100+ where they can be guaranteed of getting a short ban in court.

Am hoping they were more interested in the S6 that flew past me, hence they were pointing camera away from me when I past them.

Where these the same brain dead, parked up on the Emergency Hard shoulder a few weeks ago, with a single person adopting a crouching stance looking up the M/W, causing dozens of brake Lights coming on--some drivers Not even knowing WHY other drivers were braking.Whats THE problem ????? Not enough Bridges to hide on.
