Carpet dye

Anyone got a recommendation.

I need to revive some black carpet in an old Ford and thought I could throw some black dye on it.

Anyone had any success?

3M used to do a spray on aerosol dye, I used it on some carpet overmats - there must be something else similar out there, it worked fine.
