I found his story compelling and a 'there for the grace of God go I' moment. For some reason youtube recommended me to watch a video from 'William Bonney' entitled Diary of an armed robber. I found it fairly compelling due to the lack of ego and documentary style and thought you might also appreciate it.

Whatever happened to him? I think his story resonated as he was an everyman, we could relate to him better than the usual scummer locked up.

It definitely resonated. Whatever your opinions are of his case, I imagine most people on these forums could be guilty of the same if circumstances aligned.

If I remember rightly, it was posts on an Integra forum dug out by the Police, that were one of the contributing factors to his guilty verdict?

Did he get a book deal in the end? I seem to remember he was working towards that.

He must have turned it up to eleven, because there are loads of people on PH who behave like that.

Even before I put my big boy pants on and signed up to PistonHeads, I remember reading his story and the very stark reminder that a 3rd parties interpretation of your actions could sink you fast.

Driving around Norfolk, overtaking is an inherent part of driving (tractors, beet lorries, monospeeders), and his experience certainly resonated with me.

He certainly did.

After his incarceration he tried to make a career out of the "reformed irresponsible road hooligan" and with his new cheesey persona, postured himself as an "expert" on the UK court system.

He was soon called out however and faded into obscurity.

Yes, wasn't his wife some sort of legal bod and ATC tried to impart her legal knowledge on here as his own.

Actually I hope that most people on here don't go out on organised high speed group hoons (aka races on public roads)

I'd imagine a very large percentage (a while ago I'd have said an easy majority) do or have indeed organised to go out for a drive with mates...
