I have some new stone chips on the Tuscan - but looks quite odd.

What I mean is that there are none on the service bonnet, but up on the main bonnet toward the back, in the 'channels' of the bonnet, getting worse just before the screen.

I'd expect the very front of the car to get a battering but it is spotless.

Anyone else experienced this? Would seem odd for debris to make it through the rads to be blasted up toward the bonnet (and windscreen).

Where the chips are down to the fibreglass is there now going to be any issues with moisture seeping in and affecting the rest of the paint?

Should I stop worrying and just drive the thing?!

Near side close to the scuttle?

Could be heat from the manifold fracturing the top coat.

Cheers - it's both sides, looks to be stones (or grit). Lots of polish over the top for now I think.

Would be gutted to start chucking money in, to then watch it get damaged again...

That does sound strange and agree hard to believe if stones did get through the rads they'd have sufficient speed to damage. Any photos?

Is the car kept outside and maybe had debris blown across it in high wind?

Can you post a pic as it does sound strange if not heat damage.
