The 'ownership' is in relation to sheep-based offences, not the motoring ones!

Wonder if this is the guy I used to work with who would buy a sheep for various ceremonies, claim it was taken to an abattoir but often let slip it was slaughtered in the back garden.

The driver thought he had purchased a dog. It was not until he was pulled over that he realized he was baaaaaking up the wrong tree.
I hope the police were sure to Ram the point home that it was unsafe to carry such a large animal in the car.

The Gloucestershire police stopped someone earlier today who had travelled from Cornwall. The driver was discovered to have a boot full of chickens.

Turns out not only was the bloke a disqualified driver,he his also banned from owning animals.
