Missed quite a few and if you don’t answer, they call once every 2 hours.
Still, it’s only four days, and there isn’t much you can do at the moment so just get a test and make sure you are ok.

I think he means for me. I can't get a test unless I show symptoms. I haven't had any symptoms at all but I have had the vaccine about 4 weeks ago. If I tell porky pies (and I won't) to get a test then it renders the vaccine less effective so a no win situation for anyone.jinkster said:

That was negative and then 2 days later i went for another test as my symptoms persisted, and that second test was positive. I only got the lack of smell and high temp 2 days after that second positive test. Incidentally none of my group followed the usual symptoms. Technically my isolation ran from the second test iirc, but i'd had felt terrible for nearly a week before that.
I think T&T focus far too much on the smell/temp/cough but they agreed on the phone many people get different symptoms early on.

From what I've read online.....and its a minefield. You can get a test kit if you do not have symptoms. You can get a test if you do have symptoms. If you are told to stay at home from track and trace, you must stay at home (no test site visit) and even if you test negative then you must continue until your days are up staying at home and self isolating. jinkster said:

are they still up to this nonsense?I wanted a test about last sept after a headsup by someone I'd been talking to, but only way was to claim symptoms but that would have meant I'd have to stop work and isolate as if I didn't do that and then tested positive AND claimed symptoms...
Utterly farcical, as someone who's job requires going in many different peoples homes constantly you think it'd be them demanding I get tested, routinely, rather than witholding

I might be missing your point but the vaccine isn't 100% effective. Daughter works in the NHS and one of her colleagues got Covid early on, has had both vaccinations and has Covid again now.

The vaccine doesn’t, and isn’t intended to stop you catching it. It’s meant to limit the symptoms so you don’t become very poorly/die.
Covid is here to stay, but if vaccinated it shouldn’t present much worse than the common cold, if you get any symptoms at all.
