Out for a drive yesterday and up pops ‘padm not working book in for service ‘
It says it’s ok to still drive .

Had it twice in 3 months on my 718 BGTS Two new units fitted - under warranty thankfully. A friend with a 718CGTS of exactly same age also had two units replaced.

Yep, common fault on GT3. Took them about 8 weeks to get the parts but no problem driving in the meantime. That’s why I have just taken a three year warranty.

Just had it on my 718 GT4, there's a thread on here.

Very common fault on all 9x1 and 9x2 cars with Sports Chrono.

I’m guessing this would not be a warranty issue given that it’s known fault, but to be fair the three year warranty is good value at £2,750 compared to McLaren and Ferrari.

Yep, covered under Porsche warranty. Replacement is around £1500 a unit, mostly the part price but 2-3hrs labour.

Yes, I'm also worried about it happening again when out of warranty. I would have done the extended warranty anyway - 3 years for £2,750 is good value and peace of mind for a GT3.

I'm going to take my chances, but then I'm modding my car over time. Here's hoping if I get a failure of the other side it's in the near future!

However, I suggest these are going to be parts that go belly up regularly.

Yep, 2 replaced on a mates car same age as mine (2018). Doesn't seem to show any symptoms before failure , you just get the warning pop up. All covered under warranty
