Starting a blog - best platform to use
Discussion
I'm looking to start writing a weekly blog (which I will link to from a facebook group I'm in). Ideally I'd like the platform I use to be free, easy to build and allow permit comments. I'm not looking to monetise it. Not sure which is the best platform - Wordpress, Wix, A N Other ???
Wordpress can no longer be linked to Facebook (actually stopped about a year back) you can post your blog URLs in to Facebook, it just no longer will do it automatically.
I use Wordpress as it's easy to set up and run, seems to be very good at blocking spam (you can review before deleting), however I upgraded to the first paid option to remove adds - never noticed them as I use uBlock Origin, but when I looked with that disabled they could be a little intrusive. Still it's possibly the best of the free ones - note the adverts is if you go with their own hosting, it's not an issue if you run Wordpress from your own server/instance.
