Looks a different design. How long and wide is the mattress area?
Quite popular here in Oz. We did a month trip in one and had a good routine collapsing and setting up camp so all up it didn't take long.
Just under a double bed footprint up top and plenty high enough to sit up etc... Quite popular here in Oz. We did a month trip in one and had a good routine collapsing and setting up camp so all up it didn't take long.
Its all electric so automatically unfolds in about 60 secs.

I see these and think how can the car roof support the weight of two adults.
Most roof racks are 75kg.
Obviously the tent works. I guess only on certain cars.
I think the 75kgs is more about the centre of gravity for cornering. Also, if you put around 350kg of wood on a roof rack and go over a speed hump at 20mph, the resultant dynamic load tends to bend the roof bars. Don't ask how I know that... Most roof racks are 75kg.

So basically, it should be alright to sleep in, as long as you don't get tooooo adventurous.

We had a Howling Moon rooftent, but that was in Africa. They can be a bit of a pain if your moving and they're wet but otherwise great.
Ours is a canvas fold out one over the hard shell options. I ran power for dimming lights and 12v/ USB into there. Makes it easier.
Ours does have a lower Annex that encompasses the ladder if wanted.
I think most of the UK tents come out of Australia or South Africa.
Do you have a second battery setup? You can mount those Flexi solar panels onto the hardshell tents.

Thread bump. Anymore thoughts on these?
There seem to be a few brands coming into the market to rival TentBox. As a poster above said, they can be really pricey.
Thule bought out Tepui and look decent.
Naturally the Chinese copies have come along.
I am a serial wildcamper so These would be a bit of a luxury when I won't want to march up a hill.

My sister had one one her soft-roader (can't remember the brand of either car or tent). There seem to be a few brands coming into the market to rival TentBox. As a poster above said, they can be really pricey.

After a year or so the roof started to crease, so she got rid of both.
