Chaps, I’ve put a deposit on a 2nd hand Multistrada from a non Ducati dealer, paid a deposit on my debit card with the balance to be a bank transfer, it has a 3 month / 1000 mile warranty, would there be any advantage to some of the payment going on a credit card?
Thanks
G

Either way it sounds a bit late now.

People overestimate the power of the credit card but they would protect you if the contract was breached.

Deposit would have been protected with a credit card of said dealer folds between now and picking it up.

Pay some of the final balance on a credit card. Even a small % and it lends you protections.

I expect that would then cover you for £100 of loss? Might be worth speaking to the card company.

IIRC part paid on credit card (above min amount) & the card issuer is joint liable to full value with seller, it's not restricted to only the amount paid on card.
