Although I’m one of the few still working in an office, my 2 mile commute is usually by bike, only occasionally driving due to appalling weather or need to visit the supermarket on the way home. Pre lockdown I was probably doing a couple of longer trips a month, which would keep the battery topped up, obviously that hasn’t happened over the past year, leading to battery problems.

The car is kept outside, is it worth investing in a solar battery conditioner?

Yep, doesn't even need to be a powerful one to just do trickle charging. Seems like a no-brainer if you don't want to use a mains-powered trickle.

I bought a couple of Amazon a year or two back - they seem to work well. One of my cars seems to drop voltage pretty quickly - I've had a solar charger plugged into it for the last few weeks and the voltage hasn't dropped at all.
