Is this possible? Turning on 'do not disturb' didn't do anything. And I don't want to mute all my groups every time I get in the car. There must be a way to add things to the 'do not disturb' function? Or something along those lines.

Apple or Android?
On Apple there's a setting in Settings --> WhatsApp --> Notifications called "Show in CarPlay". I've turned that off.

Apple.

I found that bit of advice you mention, but maybe I'm being dumb, but I can't find the 'show in carplay' bit anywhere!

There's settings in my 'Do not disturb' menu that I use to turn off all notifications when driving.

Ahhh, I think I've found what I need. I had my 'do not disturb' set for only when the phone was locked, so when it was open with Maps up, notifications still came through.

Changed it to always, hopefully that's what I'm looking for.
