Focus key fob not working

Key fob totally dead. Changed battery, which made no difference. The blade is also broken, and I have left the spare normal key in the car...

Is there any way to get into the car without me smashing the window?

I did that. Turns out dhead me left the old style key in the ignition and drained the battery, which is why the fob didn't work.

Not sure if this helps but the generic ebay lithium batteries didn't work in my Mustang fob and I ended up buying a Sony one.
It must be slightly thicker as it works fine but none of the generic pack I bought worked in the Ford fob.
