I think I have one but I replaced it as oil seemed to be seeping from it. Assuming I can find it you can have it if it would be any use to you

Thanks for the reply Ian, yes I would very much appreciate it if you can find it, please let me know if you locate it? Mine is in many bits, it seems to have disintegrated! I've also stupidly lost the springy actuating plunger, I had it about 4weeks ago but since torn the garage apart looking and it's gone!

I think it's an age thing. There were hordes of Ians when I was at school.

Oddly enough we had a similar debate in the pub t'other night: there are lots of wimmin of a certain age called Jackie; never heard of a kid called Jacqueline for years. Too busy calling them Britney/ Chelsea/ Savannah I suppose...

Typially the 'box is in the further corner of the shed, with a RV8, and engine crane, pallet trolley and a half build Beetle in the way. I'll get to it when i have an extra pair of hands to assist later this evening.

I've found the one I took out...however, underneath the car on the weekend and discovered the replacement is weeping even more than the old one did so I have a quandry . Is this keeping you off the road? Where are you located?

Put me on the list! I have a nice wire hanging down and a hole in the box where a switch is supposed to go.I don't have an oil leak from it, so do I have no oil in the box !!!? If anyone knows the Ford part No or which vehicles it originally fitted (Capri 2.8i?/ Granny 2.8/V6 cortina? and years)I have access to ancient aftermarket cross references so may be able to shed some light (backwards!!) on this. I'll be @ BBWF on the Sat pm in a rather scruffy silver dhc.David H
