RIP Prince Phillip
Discussion
Ah, I'm too new to be allowed to pay my respects in the news forum so here's my chance!
I was listening to the Ugandan Asian story on BBC R4 when it cut dead for the announcement.
My heart sank instantly, it was obviously going to be for him.
RIP Phil, an eventful and illustrious life well lived.

My old man is a classic car expert, and was employed to stand behind Prince Philip and advise him on the identity of the cars in a big classic car cavalcade that took place in his honour at some major royal anniversary in the early noughties.
One particularly garishly painted car went past and HRH asked my father what it was. He explained, and then Prince Phillip said (you have to imagine this in his accent) "what a ghastly colour."
Later the owner asked my dad what HRH had thought of his car and he said something like "yes, he especially commented on your car...".

Looks like the mods have removed his post and the replies. Well done mods.
