I might have to get rid of the sports exhaust bloody neighbours are complaining. Has anyone got a standard exhaust sitting around after having a sports exhaust installed?

cheers

Just point out that it has an MOT, therefore it's legal...

What I was thinking. The sports exhaust should be ok on its own. If its been decatted, then that is loud. I'd put the cats back on.

You could tell the neighbours to pi$$ off.

I have sports enhaust and still have cats. Car is much louder at idle than standard exhaust (without cats). Living in a small rural and quiet village I do feel bad about the noise I make (sometimes). I have had a few comments from neighbours but they have all been friendly (but I assume behind the smile it annoys them!). The most annoying thing is that I get waved at to slow down even when I am within the speed limit ie as the car sounds loud people assume you are going fast.
If I needed a new exhaust I think I would still stick with a sports one (with cats fitted).

The only neighbourly complaint I have had is from a chap in a Porker GT3 who's ever so miffed that his sports zorst sounds a tad limp and wet next to mine!

I live in a rural village, and my immediate neighbours love it when i start the Tiv up - his wife tells me that her hubby says 'listen to the sound of that V8' every time i crank her up!

As for my neighbours but one, they are a moany miserable old couple and they once said to me 'Can't you do anything about the noise of your car?' to which i responded 'yes, i shall get a sports exhaust on it to make it louder' - which i duly did!
