What type of glue should I use

to glue down the rubber around the windscreen? It lifted rather embarrassingly at 120 (private road sir). :angel:

I suppose the embarrassing bit was reaching up to grab it in front of the Z4 driver, also on this private road, Brigadoon Drive.

Seriously what should I use?

Yep, a BB say's, Silicon! in fact SIKAFLEX.

Not available from Halfrauds, good auto factors like Partco etc. It is also available a boat chandlers.

Available in black, brown, white & clear. If you choose black where disposable glove it's a bstard to get off when cured.

IIRC you need to use Sikaflex-221, ie, the slow setting version. Apparently, the quick setting version isn't as good a finish.

Now we've that settled, a related question - what glue have people used to stick the leather back onto the windscreen surround where it has peeled back along the inside of the windscreen top rail?

For leather trim i would use a good contact adhesive, (a bit like rubber pucture repair adhesive)
For bodywork / leaks etc Sikaflex or similar , this stuff is polyurothane, that spelling looks very wrong but i can't think this early.
