Sorry if this has been covered before, I'm sure it has, but I've just picked up a 718 in Miami Blue. I'm the second owner and it would pass for a new car, it is immaculate. Has anyone got any tips on looking after the paintwork and keeping it looking this good for a few years?

I don't mind putting some elbow grease in to washing it. Unfortunately, there wouldn't be enough room in the garage so it will have to stay on the driveway.

Just look up 'detailing' and prepare to go mad.

Short answer - elbow grease is the last thing you need - that will just introduce swirls into the paint. Get a good protecting layer of 'something' on it, unless it has one already of course, and get a good wash-mitt buckets etc so that when you wash it, you do the minimum amount of damage hehe

Front end PPF, then Gtechniq on top of that and the rest of the car. Try to wash and dry with as little elbow grease as possible, jet wash, snow foam, gentle work with a mitt and then leaf blower to dry after rinsing,
